Greg Hier is the owner and principal of Ingenium Financial, LLC. He has been in the financial services business for over 20 years. He is a Registered Representative of The Leaders Group, Inc. and an Investment Adviser Representative of TLG Advisors. He attended The Ohio State University majoring in Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering and minoring in Math. He received his MBA from Franklin University and has completed multiple professional designations. He is licensed in many states and helps people across the country bring more structure and stability to their financial futures. He has a passion for educating people to help them make more informed financial decisions.

Hello and thank you for visiting.
I get asked how I chose the name of my firm. The word ingenium is one of the Latin words at the root of the word engineering and means natural or innate talent. I chose Ingenium Financial as the name of my firm because it embodies the way I approach financial planning. In college I majored in Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering and minored in Math. Once someone questioned how I made the jump from rocket science to life insurance. I explained that, in my mind, there is no jump. Engineers solve problems using materials and physics. Financial Planners use financial products and money. It’s the same process with different tools. We want to obtain the desired result as efficiently as possible with an acceptable level of risk.
When I established my firm and this Web site, I envisioned a place where people could find the tools and answers they need to make sound financial decisions. Many times, people turn to friends and family for guidance. Following the same path may prove more harmful than helpful as everyone’s situation is different. And the Internet usually provide high-level information that may provide some foundational education but may not necessarily help for individual situations and actual decision making.
As we add more content to this site, please come back to see what’s new. We will have frequently asked questions, case studies, and topical information to help you understand how different financial products and parameters impact your overall financial situation. But all of this won’t replace the specific personal advice of a financial professional.
